Incoming Battlefield 3 Double XP Event open only to Premium members

If you aren't a Battlefield 3 Premium member then you suck, and EA is letting you know by announcing a Premium-exclusive double XP weekend event.

Battlefield 3's second Double XP weekend event came to a close last night, but those who are Premium members will have their own exclusive event to help boost them through the ranks. Everyone who is a Premium member will get double XP throughout the entire upcoming weekend and, like before, this is valid across all maps and modes as long as you play on ranked servers.

It is set to begin on Saturday, June 23 at 7:01 AM PDT and conclude on Monday, June 25 at 6:59 AM PDT.

This is the first of many Premium-exclusive events planned by EA and DICE spanning through the months until March. The Premium Calendar includes at least one exclusive Double XP Event per month while introducing unique in-game content and expansion packs scattered throughout the upcoming months.

Battlefield 3 Premium was officially made available earlier this month. For $49.99 players can get early access to all future add-on content along with a slew of bonus content and features available only to those who pay. Fair or not, this is the future of Battlefield 3.
