While we have no new details regarding The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Dawnguard DLC, which landed on Xbox 360 back in June, we do know that new info regarding the PS3 and PC release date will be coming "soon".
The DLC, which adds new content surrounding a group of vampires looking to use the Elder Scroll to block out the sun along with the Dawnguard group who has returned to stop them, was first released on Xbox 360 exclusively. Despite the lack of other platform information during the time of announcement, Bethesda did confirm that it would arrive on PS3 and PC - they just didn't say when. Many had figured it would arrive just a month after its Xbox 360 release.
While we know the 1.7 update for the PS3 version of Skyrim will arrive in "the coming weeks", Bethesda's VP of marketing and PR Pete Hines worried some when he stated on Twitter, "We have not announced Dawnguard for any other platform, nor given a timeline for any such news. If we have news, I promise I'd tell you."
Of course, that doesn't mean it won't arrive on PS3 or PC. Bethesda went back on Twitter to clarify his original comments.
"I was simply stating that expecting/demanding something today is unfounded,” Pete Hines explained. “Not that news is never coming. Just sit tight. We'll have info soon.”
So while we still don't have any dates or details, at least we know it will be coming to both platforms...hopefully. In the meantime, the 1.7 update for PS3 will include many of the features in the 1.6 update which is already live on PC and Xbox 360.
